"I want a goat, I want a goat", was something I heard a small child say to his parents whilst my partner and I were walking through the park at Crystal Palace earlier today. As this is my first ever blog I wanted to start off with some witty line or catchy comment to entice you the reader to stay with me on what I hope will be an interesting journey as we travel along the great big interpipe that we know as blogging. So to hear this child ask for a goat of all things, especially as we were in the Dinosaur section of the park seemed the perfect way to start.
It's the 31st of December 2011, already the other side of the world are ringing in their New Year Celebrations and we too in little old Blighty will soon be doing the same. The weather is forecast rain as Big Ben strikes 12 but somehow I doubt that will dampen the spirits of the thousands of people who will be attending London's Trafalgar Square, dancing merrily, high on cheap booze and being filmed by the Police. Yes 2012 is just around the corner, lots of people will make their New Year resolutions tomorrow and forget them all a week later. As for me, I intend to write my blog once a week and hope that you will join me over the next 12 months on what could very well be an interesting road ahead.
